Well, it’s officially been a few months since we started using smokeless cigarettes at home and I must say that everything has worked out well so far! Everyone in the house is breathing easier with no smelly smoke around and with the money we saved this summer we were actually able to treat ourselves to a night out now and then, which is nice.

I read at the ecigarettes forum that some people have been vaping in theaters, but we haven’t tried that yet. I still suggest being careful at places where there are smoking bans because not everyone is familiar with the new smokeless cigarettes and you may still get in trouble with the manager or something. Use your head and you’ll have a very enjoyable experience being out and about again.

I’ve read some posts on forums from people complaining about long waits for their ecigarette order to arrive. Sometimes the shipping delays can be up to 4 weeks! While this may be true in some cases, I’ve been told by friends who just recently ordered their smokeless cigarette kits that it was shipped out to them within 3-4 days, which isn’t bad at all.

From what I’ve read it’s simply a case of high demand for the product. These “ecigarettes” are sweeping the country in a wave of popularity, so just be patient when ordering and you can have it too! Everyone wants one…kinda like that talking Elmo from a few years ago! lol

Let me introduce 2 more words into the smokeless cigarette lingo (I didn’t make these up, I swear!!). One is “vaping” and the other is “vape”…

Vaping is the personal vaporizer (ecigarette) version of the word “smoking”, and this is what happens when you take a puff or drag on an electronic cigarette and emit the vapor (instead of smoke!) from it. This is what makes them smokeless!

Also, to vape is the act of vaping, and I’m starting to see more people do this as these products become more common in the USA and in other countries around the world. Some day this will be in frequent usage and in dictionaries, so you can say you read it here first! lol

I was just visiting a forum where ex-smokers were posting their positive comments about how using their “personal vaporizer” has changed their lives. I thought this was interesting because I had always just thought these things were called electronic cigarettes or ecigarettes.

But, I kept seeing users referring to their PV devices and, not knowing what that meant, I investigated further and found that it stood for the personal vaporizer that they use for “vaping” (another new word for the dictionary!).

Wow! What will they come up with next??

I’d like this blog to be about my own personal ecig experiences and not just what you “could” do with them. So, to that end, I will post some short anecdotes of situations I’ve been in thus far. Consider them as “smokeless cigarette vignettes”, of sorts.

I’ll just mention one here from today. We went for a walk in the park together and usually the secondhand smoke ruins the enjoyment of being outdoors, where I should be able to get away from the house and breathe fresh air.

However, with the ecig vapor from the around me instead of toxic smoker air, I can now take in the beauty of the outdoors again! Thank you!!

This is my smokeless cigarette story. For many years my lifelong partner and “better half” has been a smoker, and I guess that was something I just had to get used to, but over time the house started to smell like a giant ashtray and I really didn’t like it.

See, I’m a non-smoker myself and there is nothing worse than kissing someone who has “smoke lips” when you don’t do it yourself. Plus, sitting on old, smelly, stinky furniture just got to me after awhile. I was so tired of it!

Eventually, with all the smoking bans sweeping the country, it got to the point where we couldn’t even be social with friends anymore! We couldn’t go out to a nice restaurant or go to the usual friendly gatherings anymore and our quality of life suffered because of it. Something had to give!!

I searched online and found a smokeless cigarette alternative called Blu Electronic Cigarettes that really changed everything. These ecigarettes could be used anywhere, since they aren’t a tabacco product, and yet they still give a measured dose of nicotine that smokers crave. It was perfect!

We can now go anywhere and be among friends again. No more standing out in the rain and cold or missing out on anything. The biggest advantage to me is that I can finally breathe in my own home again. Yes!!! Those smokeless cigarette gadgets are the best thing that has ever happened for us!
